Upon arrival in Edinburgh:

- Welcome desk at Edinburgh Airport - here you can get information on what to do next. You will be directed to a welcome hub where you will be offered money, food, and other support if needed. If no one is at the welcome desk when you arrive, call the official Edinburgh hotline (if you speak English) or us (if you only speak Ukrainian/Russian). Airport website page for Ukrainians
- There are two welcome hubs in Edinburgh - at RBS Gogarburn (9am to 6pm on weekdays, 9am to 5pm on weekends) and at Hampton Hotel near the airport (out of hours, you can spend the night there if you arrive late).
- Make sure you seek out an immigration officer and get a stamp in your passport that says you're permitted to stay in the UK for 6 months.
Language support:
- Some Scottish services do not yet have Ukrainian or Russian translators. You can either call our helpline (+44 131 2100 173) if you need translation help urgently or submit a request to Respond: Crisis in Translation https://respondcrisistranslation.org/uk/need-support (in Ukrainian). Respond offer phone interpretation as well as certified document translation.
- By reaching out to us via our helpline you can also request the assistance of a volunteer who will help you fill out English-language forms or applications.
